    WORLD CLASS PROJECTS

    For over 20 years Pro Display has been supplying visual and interactive displays for some of the world’s most recognisable brands. We’ve worked on many innovative projects in the retail sector, with some of our bespoke projects including Interactive Transparent LCD kiosks for Adidas’ GMR campaign and Transparent LCD Displays for Nike’s 3rd House of Innovation flagship store in Paris.

    We’ve also supplied record-breaking projection solutions for the world-famous Dubai Mall and had the privilege of transforming the windows of luxury department store Harrods into a smart glass projection screen.

    Our projection screens are no stranger to the silver screen, with our specialist products featuring in a number of high-profile blockbusters. Our Clearview Holographic Effect Screens are a Hollywood favourite, with credits including Transcendence and the Marvel mega-hit Guardians of The Galaxy. Our holographic screens are also an A-List awards favourite with their use at the 83rd Oscars earning us a win for Live Event of the Year at the AV awards and starring in Halsey’s performance at the MTV EMA Awards. In recent years our Ultra Black Rear Projection Film was used in Wonder Woman 184 and we supplied our PVC Projection Film along with a bespoke metal framework system for the BAFTA and OSCAR nominated Netflix movie, The Midnight Sky.

    At Pro Display we are no stranger to working with big brands, offering display solutions for recognisable names in the car industry like Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Mercedes Benz. We’ve recently supplied solutions for multiple applications at the Dubai Expo including our Ultra Short Throw Rear Projection Screens that were used in the sustainability pavilion to transport visitors under the ocean and forest in their immersive exhibits.

    Adidas GMR Rollout

    In 2020 Adidas launched GMR, a game-changing insole that tracks physical activity, translating it into virtual data and online rewards. We provided multiple bespoke Transparent Touch Screen Totems with custom metal housing & graphics for the rollout in key flagship stores across Europe, the US and Canada.

    The Chapel at Bodmin Jail Hotel

    After 100 years of neglect and a six year luxury makeover, the Bodmin Jail Hotel, Cornwall, was finally opened to guests in Spring 2021. To create a bright, inviting environment during the day our Switchable Glass Front Projection Screens were installed to showcased the history of the building with the option to create a unique visual projection experience on an evening.

    Boise State University

    Lisa Hunt, the interim director of the Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary at Boise State University, had the vision was to bring in art from around the world to open the minds of the students and young people of Idaho. Our 360 Projection Film was used as a base on which became a digital art gallery that used 90 feet of touchscreen display.

    Dubai Expo 2020

    8 years after winning the rights to host, Dubai’s Expo 2020 finally kicked off in October 2021 despite being pushed back a full year due to COVID-19. In Terra, one of the starring pavilions designed around sustainability, our Digital Glass screens were used to transport visitors under the sea and under the forest.

    Fondation Cartier

    American artist Sarah Sze returned to the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris to hold her 2nd solo exhibition at the venue, Night into Day. Wishing to extend the exhibit beyond the confines of the gallery walls, our Clearview film was applied to the glass façade to bring the inside outside, creating a fully immersive experience.

    Nike House of Innovation

    On July 30th 2020, Nike opened it’s largest ‘House of Innovation’ yet in Paris, France following the opening of stores in Shanghai and New York. The 3rd of Nikes specialist flagship stores stands in a prime location on the prestigious avenue des Champs-Élysées, measuring 2,400sqm with the latest and greatest in Nike innovation spreading over 4 floors.

    The Oscars

    The Academy Awards are known around the world for bringing together the biggest movie stars, with flowing champagne and tear-jerking acceptance speeches, glittering red carpet fashions and paparazzi camera flashes. And we all love that. It’s less well known though, that ‘Oscars night’ itself is a stage-managed performance worthy of its own special recognition.

    The Midnight Sky

    Pro Display technology gained a starring role in the OSCAR nominated Netflix hit, The Midnight Sky. We were called on to help to build the ‘Aether’, the returning spaceship where the majority of the movie was set. We provided a huge 5.79m x 2m Curved Rear Projection Screen that was manufactured to give the screen the most realistic image.

    Rolls Royce X Harrods

    Intelligent Glass, part of the Pro Display group, supplied its self-adhesive switchable smart film for the launch of the new Rolls Royce Dawn Drophead Coupé at Harrods London. The windows of the world’s most luxurious retail store were fitted with switchable smart film, projected onto with a tension-building countdown every three minutes.

    Guardians of the Galaxy

    Pro Display’s Clearview Holographic film appeared in numerous places in James Gunns’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1, where we see the true impact of holographic effect technology. Used by the film studio to set the scene on an alien planet, mock spaceship controls, user interfaces and other spaceship diagnostics were projected onto the screens.

    Halsey at the MTV EMA’s

    2018 saw one of the most creative uses of Clearview yet, as part of Halsey’s live performance of ‘Without Me’ at the MTV EMAs. In this stunning music performance, we see Halsey on stage in a transparent box which is utilised more as a projection screen backdrop over the duration of the song.

    ISE 2019

    Our Projection Mapping Film was used in the incredible projection mapping installation on the façade of the new nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel, which is adjacent to the location of the ISE 2019 exhibition. The impressive 25-storey hotel boasts 650 rooms with our projection film applied to 392 windows to create the perfect large format canvas.

    Now Gallery

    NOW Gallery in London, required 3 pieces of 4.6mx 2.15m High Gain Rear Projection Film to be installed in a portrait format onto their exterior facing glass façade. Using these screens, NOW Gallery are able to project images with breath-taking clarity and 4K resolution; producing sharp pictures with inherently high brightness and optimum contrast.

    The Dubai Mall

    The Chalhoub Group were seeking a single screen solution for their luxury shoe store, Level Shoes in Dubai Mall to display high quality content, without the usual join lines that are so often seen on traditional video walls. We provided 4 of our 360 Degree Dual Image Projection Screens to create the centrepiece for the museum, each standing at 2.5m tall used to display the members of the prestigious Hall of Fame.

    University of South Carolina

    One of the most inventive projects we’ve supplied in the US recently was for the new 110,000 square foot state-of-the-art Football Operations Centre in Columbia, South Carolina. We supplied Advanced Video Group, a South Carolina based audio visual company, with two of our huge 86” Professional Mirror Screens from our Mirrorvision® Range.

    Number 23

    Number 23 is a multi-award winning family home constructed on a vacant end-of-terrace site in West London. The signature ‘floating box’ window on the front elevation is enhanced through the use of Intelligent Glass Switchable Panels, turning from frosted to clear on command.

    Opera North

    Pro Display’s Switchable Glass Projection Screen recently stole the show during Opera North’s production of La Clemenza Di Tito. Utilising our switchable projection screens in a way we’ve never seen before, the liquid crystal glass technology was used with the Sanyo XF47 Projector to rear project high resolution images onto the freestanding glass screen.

    Cirque du Soleil

    Recently we completed one of the most ambitious switchable projection projects to date, manufacturing the world’s largest front projection Switchable Glass Screen for the top floor of the Cirque Du Soleil headquarters in Montreal, Canada. The Glass Screen consists of nearly 70 square metres of Switchable Glass, specially manufactured to support projection.

    AGCO Corp

    AGCO’s hi-tech R&D facility, near Beauvais in France, houses a Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) for 3D simulation of the firm’s agricultural vehicles. The CAVE uses three Ultra Black rear projection acrylic screens, covering a total projected area of over 11 square metres, and precision shaped to fit the CAVE perfectly.

    Air Miles

    The Air Miles ‘Smiles 4 Miles’ campaign visited 22 Canadian cities, inviting the public to exchange smiles for prizes. The ‘smile booth’,  used our Transparent LCD screens and infrared multi-touch frames from British display manufacturer Pro Display to create a highly engaging promotional campaign for Air Miles Canada.

    The Story Shop

    Our 55″ Interactive Mirror (6 point multi touch) was used by the world’s largest international children’s charity, World Vision as part of a pioneering campaign called The Story Shop. The Story Shop is an immersive retail experience that gives customers an opportunity to learn more about the reality that some children are living today.
