FRONT PROJECTION SCREENS
Pro Display also offers a range of rigid Front Projection Screens, designed to excel in brightly-lit environments which can be wall mounted or suspended from the ceiling.
Front projection film is a self-adhesive material designed for use in front projection applications. There are several types of specialist front projection films suited to a wide range of environments including ambient light rejecting screens and transparent front projection screens.
This is decided based on the projector you are using and the size you want the screen to be. The bigger your screen the further back the projector needs to be unless you have a short throw or ultra short throw lens. Having a more specialist lens can reduce the space needed for projection by half of that of a standard projector.
For example, if you’re using a standard projector with a zoom lens of 1.5 you need a distance of at least one and a half times the width of your screen. If you were to use a short throw lens, this can bring this distance down to roughly the same as the width of your screen or possibly even less.
Our front projection film is manufactured with a self-adhesive layer designed to be retrofit to existing glass or similar smooth surfaces.
This makes it ideal for use on interior windows or glass walls and partitions to capitalise on existing space. Our front projection film is also a popular choice for information & advertising screens, exhibitions, airport and bus station and shopping centres.
Both our front projection screens and films share the same quality but are designed for different applications. Our front projection screens are rigid high brightness screens, designed for wall mounting and suspended applications, offering a sturdy, ready to use display solution. Our front projection films are made with a self-adhesive layer for easy installation directly onto existing glass or acrylic surfaces.
When creating an effective projection display its important to consider the nature of the application and the environment. The way your screen will be used will affect where it can be placed so that passing traffic does not interrupt the image, these kind of environments are better suited to UST or suspended screens.
If you suffer from extremely high levels of ambient light it might be worth considering a more specialist screen like our ALR front projection display, made with a light rejecting filter that blocks out 85% of external light.
