Each year Pro Display re-invests much of its global revenue back into research and development.  Like many hi-tech companies we are always on the look out for new exciting technologies and ways to improve our current product range. This focus and commitment to continually improve and develop our range keeps us at the forefront of screen technology and helps us to re-invent ourselves every year.

Our PDLC Film and Glass technology has seen vast improvements over the last year, with the development of enhanced application processes for the film and improved lamination coating techniques for the polymer liquid crystals. These advancements have also allowed us to increase the standard widths of the material and develop some new techniques e.g. PDLC Curtain. Our new application process allow us to create PDLC sealed units (double glazed panels) for both the commercial and domestic glass markets using a variety of types of glass – solar glass, toughened glass, fire rated glass, tinted glass etc…

Our development work in LEDs means the introduction of high resolution SMD displays for both indoor and outdoor applications. We have developed a high brightness advanced SMD chip technology, which offers better colour reproduction and contrast, even in direct sunlight. This is combined with better heat disbursement and greater longevity for the display. Our new techniques have also meant the introduction of a range of high resolution indoor modules at a much reduced cost.

Over the last year, Pro Display have introduced a number of new optical projection screen technologies to improve our range of solutions. This includes Cinema Pro which is a fresnel or lens based screen combined with our Pro Diffusion technology. Cinema Pro is our first attempt at a Fresnel screen and the results are amazing, this screen technology is mainly used for short throw projection applications in conjunction with optical projection mirrors. Other developments include our new optical Pro Diffusion HD designed for short throw mirror projectors and Sunscreen, the only projection screen technology proven to perform in direct sunlight

Other developments have taken place in relation to our Projected Capacitance technologies and large format clear interactive touch screen foils. The second generation foils have seen vast improvements including a better controller board with USB connection, improved software, harden coated surface with better optical characteristics and increased stability.
